Top NFL Streaming Services for Die-Hard Fans

NFL games are America’s most popular sports and regularly attract higher ratings than major events in other leagues. But for cord cutters to stream all 343 games this season, they’ll need access to at least six streaming services and five username-and-password combinations.

That’s especially true in the wake of the Disney-Charter dispute that has left Spectrum cable subscribers without ESPN and other Disney channels.

1. NFL Game Pass

NFL Game Pass is a must-have for football fans with its comprehensive library of content and powerful viewing tools. It provides access to full broadcast replays of every game along with a condensed version that can be watched in about 45 minutes.

The service also offers Sunday night football on peacock. For fantasy football players, it provides a look at the game from countless angles that help you break down the film like coaches and scouts do.

The only downside is that it doesn’t include live streams of regular season or playoff games, which is a big drawback for those who want to cheer on their team in real time. However, you can get that with fuboTV if you subscribe to their $65/mo. package, which carries CBS, Fox, and ESPN as well as NFL RedZone.

2. YouTube TV

Whether you’re tracking Roger Federer’s backhand or your local team, streaming services make it easier than ever to catch live action. But not all are created equal.

YouTube TV, for example, offers NFL Sunday Ticket and has a decent channel library with Fox Sports, NBC Sports, CBS Sports, TNT, ESPN and more. It’s also one of the few to offer regional sports channels (for New York fans, that means SNY) and you can add add-ons like NFL RedZone and Stadium as well as a bunch of horse racing options.

Pricing for YouTube TV varies by market but is typically less than you’ll pay for a cable or satellite subscription. Plus, it doesn’t include equipment or DVR fees. You’ll still need a solid internet connection to stream, however.

3. Hulu with Live TV

Hulu with Live TV offers access to local NFL games on top of a wide range of channels, including NBC, CBS, FOX, ESPN and more. It’s available on most modern streaming devices, including Android and iOS phones and tablets, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Roku.

Its cheapest pricing tier includes 26 of the 35 major cable networks, plus regional sports networks and many premium channels are available to add on. But Hulu lacks Viacom channels like Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon and Paramount Network, which can be found on YouTube TV, and UEFA soccer league coverage is only available on Peacock Premium, a separate service that costs $15 more per month.

Both services require a subscription and stable internet connection to stream content. They also have free trials, making it easier to try them before committing.

4. Amazon Prime Video

In addition to Prime Video’s impressive library of third-party shows and movies, it’s also the home of NFL Thursday Night Football games this season. You can stream them for free with a Prime membership or for a fee with Amazon Prime TV.

Other streaming services like YouTube TV and FuboTV offer access to sports channels as part of their subscription plans. But if you’re looking for a comprehensive package, those options can get pricey. For example, MarketWatch estimates it would cost $1,600 to watch every game this season with YouTube TV with Sunday Ticket, Peacock Premium and NFL+.

To find out if you can stream your favorite team, check out the channel listings for each service’s subscription packages and live-streaming offerings. You can usually find this information on the streaming service’s website or apps.

5. FuboTV

FuboTV is a live TV streaming service primarily aimed at sports fans. Its Pro plan offers a huge helping of sports channels and includes a cloud-based DVR with up to 250 hours of storage. It also offers a wide range of add-ons, including the $11-per-month Sports Extra add-on that includes NFL RedZone.

Fubo TV also features a large number of local broadcast affiliates (check to make sure they’re available in your area before signing up). Its Latino plan is an excellent option for those looking for a more Spanish-focused streaming service, and it comes with the same number of simultaneous streams as the Pro plan.

A few other notable features include the ability to create up to six different profiles and watch content on multiple devices at once. It also has home screen integration for Apple TV and Google TV.
